2026 Conference Registration

Information for Registrants

At least one author from each accepted presentation at the 2026 AIAEE Conference must be registered by Feb. 13, 2026. 

Note: If you are registering for the conference as a member, make sure you are logged into the system. This allows you to see/select discounted pricing options. 

Student Verification
Students will be required to fill out a verification form and upload a picture of their student ID. You have two weeks from your registration date to submit your verification. If verification has not been provided, you will be charged the additional fees. 

Note: You'll need join AIAEE as a member first, before you can register as a student and receive discounted registration.

    4. Submit student verification form with ID. Please upload only a .jpg or .png file.

Guest Registration
Guests are those who are not associated with the organization or our field of study and should be registered only in conjunction with a regular registration unless otherwise approved by the conference planning committee chair.

Early registration will be open through March 13, 2026.

Late registration will be available from March 14 to April 16, 2026 (unless capacity is reached prior to this date).

Conference Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you must cancel your conference registration, please do so as soon as possible. Substitutions are accepted. Reimbursement of conference registration fees will be provided up to 30 days prior to the first day of the conference, which is Friday, March 13, 2026. All reimbursements will be subject to a 50% service fee. 
No refunds will be issued within one month of the start of the conference. Requests for reimbursement must be made to Dr. Kristina Hains, AIAEE Treasurer.

As a part of your registration, you have the option to register for a tour at an additional cost. Please review the options below so you can make your selection. Note: Tours are on a first come, first serve basis. If a tour is already full,  it will be removed as an option.

Wander Beyond the Walls: Experiencing Costa Rica

Costa Rica’s tourism industry is internationally recognized for its emphasis on sustainability, fair labor standards, and community engagement. These values shape how these tours are designed, priced, and delivered. By participating in these tours, AIAEE members support fair employment practices and environmentally responsible operations while engaging directly with Costa Rica’s agricultural, ecological, and cultural systems. This approach embodies our conference theme, Wander Beyond, offering experiences that extend beyond conventional tourism toward learning, reflection, and impact.

Tour 1: Irazu Volcano & Lankester Botanical Garden

Travel from the high-elevation landscapes of Irazú Volcano—Costa Rica’s tallest active volcano with sweeping summit views—down to the Lankester Botanical Garden, a University of Costa Rica research and conservation site showcasing the country’s rich plant biodiversity. Together, these stops offer a full day of exploration that invites participants to Wander Beyond the conference walls through Costa Rica’s natural sciences.

Tour 2: Poas Volcano & Doka Coffee Plantation

This tour moves from the cloud-covered highlands of Poás Volcano National Park—where participants view one of the world’s largest active craters—to Hacienda Doka, a historic Central Valley coffee plantation. Together, these stops highlight Costa Rica’s approaches to conservation, risk management, and the coffee value chain, inviting participants to Wander Beyond the conference walls through natural sciences and agricultural systems.

Tour 3: Costa Rica Meadery

This half-day visit to Costa Rica Meadery at the Ark Herb Farm introduces participants to value-added agriculture through small-scale fermentation rooted in local biodiversity. Set on a working farm, the experience highlights honey production, tropical botanicals, and agricultural entrepreneurship, inviting participants to Wander Beyond the conference walls through innovative food systems.

Tour 4: Chocolate Making Workshop

This interactive half-day workshop offers a hands-on introduction to bean-to-bar chocolate production, guiding participants through cacao’s cultural and agricultural roots while engaging them in grinding and molding chocolate to explore Costa Rica’s cacao value chain.
