2024 Conference Information & Resources

We are excited to welcome you all to the sunshine state for the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) conference. The University of Florida will be hosting in Orlando, Florida from April 22-25, 2024. It will be a wonderful week filled with fellowship, scholarship, and celebration of 40 years of AIAEE.

Information for Presenters

Oral Presentations

Presentation Guidelines

The Oral Abstract presentations will be held April 23–24, 2024. 

Authors accepted for an Oral Presentation should: 

  • Prepare for a 10-minute oral presentation, followed by five minutes of question-and-answer discussion. 
  • Prior to your abstract session, please arrive early to upload your PowerPoint on the computer in your breakout room to ensure no delays.



Ideas at Work Presentations

Presentation Guidelines

The “Ideas at Work” presentations will be held April 23–24, 2024. 

Authors accepted for an “Ideas at Work” presentation should: 

  • Prepare for a 5-minute oral presentation, followed by 20 minutes of open roundtable discussion. 
  • Prior to your session, please arrive early to upload your PowerPoint on the computer in your breakout room to ensure no delays.

Poster Presentations

Presentation Guidelines

The poster presentations will be held on April 22 from 4:45–6:15 p.m.

Accepted poster abstracts should be developed into printed posters that are:

  • Brief and clearly organized.
  • Easy to read from 4 to 6 feet away.
  • To accommodate the size of the poster room, please design posters to be no larger than 48 inches WIDE x 36 inches TALL
  • Poster setup and location will be tentatively located in Coral C & D. Please refer to the tentative agenda for final room placement.
  • Tables, boards, and pushpins will be provided. However, presenters are encouraged to bring extra pushpins and/or other fasteners to hold posters to boards.

Presentation Guidelines

60-minute presentations will be held on April 22 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. (Scarlet A & B) and April 23 from 10:15-11:15 a.m. (Scarlet A, B, C, D)

Accepted abstracts should be developed into oral presentations. Presentations are highly encouraged to be engaging and participatory.

  • Presentations will take place in Scarlet A, B, C, & D. Please refer to the tentative agenda for final room placement.
  • Presenters will have 60 minutes (including any questions). 
  • Two to three learning objectives or goals are recommended.
  • Prior to your session, please arrive early to upload your PowerPoint or set up any necessary materials in your room to ensure there are no delays.



Presentation Guidelines

30-minute presentations will be held on April 24 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. (Scarlet A & B) and April 24 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. (Scarlet B, C, & D).

Accepted abstracts should be developed into oral presentations. Presentations are highly encouraged to be engaging and participatory.

  • Presentations will take place in Scarlet A, B, C, & D. Please refer to the tentative agenda for final room placement.
  • Presenters will have 30 minutes to provide their PD session (including any questions).
  • One to two learning objectives or goals are recommended.
  • Prior to your session, please arrive early to upload your PowerPoint or set up any necessary materials in your room to ensure there are no delays.


Presentation Guidelines

Lightning Round presentations will be held on April 24 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. (Scarlet C & D).

Accepted abstracts should be developed into brief oral presentations with time for roundtable discussion after.

  • Presentations will take place in Scarlet C & D. Please refer to the tentative agenda for final room placement.
  • Presenters will have 5 minutes to provide their PD information. 
  • Presenters are welcome to prepare a PPT (limited only to 3-5 slides) for their introduction, granted they can still adhere to the timeline.
  • Following the 5 minutes, each presenter will lead three rounds of 15-minute table discussions on the topic.
  • Presenters are encouraged to bring supplemental materials (e.g. one-pagers or handouts) to share more information during discussion.
  • Prior to your session, please arrive early to upload your PowerPoint or set up any necessary materials in your room to ensure there are no delays.




Student Scholarships 
AIAEE will be offering a number of student scholarships to support attendance to the 2024 conference in Orlando, Florida. If you have any questions about the application, please email Dr. Mary Rodriguez. Please note:

  • You must be a CURRENT student member to apply and receive funding. 
  • You must complete the application fully to be considered. 
  • The support comes in the form of a reimbursement to be paid to the recipient at the conference. 
  • This is a competitive scholarship. The amount of support and number of scholarships will be determined by the AIAEE board.

To apply: 

  1. Complete the application.
  2. Use Microsoft word to complete application. 
  3. Save the file as: lastname_AIAEEscholarship.docx
  4. Scholarship applications are due by March 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET, and should be e-mailed directly to Dr. Mary Rodriguez, past-president at Rodriguez.746@osu.edu
  5. Please include AIAEE Scholarship Application in the title of your email.
