New publication technologies are changing the presentation of scientific journals and extension materials indeveloped countries. Budget constraints, the ease of preparation and decreasing cost of desk-top publishing andincreasing Internet access all have led to the trend to publish and distribute extension material in digital formats.Internet publication, digital CD-ROMs, and other methods of digital publication are all being used more extensively.The amount of materials published on the World Wide Web alone is now starting to eclipse that prepared bystandard, hard-copy publication techniques.
